Tutorial Using Textractor With DeepL Translation

This tutorial will teach you, how to install the textractor with deepL without timeout problems.

What is DeepL and why DeepL?

DeepL Translator is a free neural machine translation service launched on 28 August 2017 and developed by DeepL GmbH (Linguee), based in Cologne, Germany. It has received positive press asserting that it is more accurate and nuanced than Google Translate.

There you see? DeepL translate is better and makes sense, rather than Google. So if you wanted to use withh DeepL, just follow this "EVERY" step (because if you miss something it will not work or the translate is not appear).

Steps
1. Download the tools, here
2. You need browser with chromium based like, Google Chrome, Microsot edge or Firefox.
3. Download and install Tampermonkey (For Chrome and Edge: here) (For Firefox: here)
4. Open Tampermonkey in your browser "Black icon with 2 eyes".
5. Open "DeepL - Auto VN Translation/userscript/userscript.js" with notepad".
6. Copy all text inside.
7. Paste all text to Tampermonkey new script and save.
For Chrome and Microsoft Edge
1. Install Clipboard Inserter, here
2. Now open this in your browser addressbar: chrome://extensions/Enable 
3. "Developer Mode" at the top right.
4. Select "Load Unpacked"
5. Select "DeepL - Auto VN Translation/extension/"
For Firefox
1. Install Clipboard Inserter, here
2. Now open this in your browser addressbar: about:debugging
3. Click "This Firefox"
4. Click "Load Temporary Add-on..."
5. Select "DeepL - Auto VN Translation/extension/manifest.json"
Alternative ways, if you encounter problem the translation result not showing in x64 Textractor
1. Download Chromium, here
2. Install it
3. Download and install Tampermonkey (Steps 3 For Chrome)
4. Open Tampermonkey in your browser "Black icon with 2 eyes".
5. Open "DeepL - Auto VN Translation/userscript/userscript.js" with notepad".
6. Copy all text inside.
7. Paste all text to Tampermonkey new script and save.
9. Exit your browser and open it again. Make sure there are "T" icon in your new extensions browser.
10. Click on "T" icon and make sure its "ON", also make sure Clipboard Inserter and TamperMonkey is Active.
11. Now you just need to follow this video guide for the settings and use.
12. Done

NOTE: Do not close your browser, Textractor x86 and x64. Its 3 need to run at the same time to translate. Also make sure DeepL Extension, Clipboard Inserter, and TamperMonkey is active!

Troubleshoot:
Q: Textractor x86 and translation is working, but why the result is not showing on Textractor x64?
A: Because you forget to turn on Clipboard Inserter and TamperMonkey, also the new version of chrome browser is conflict with TamperMonkey extension. So, if you think you have activated both of it and it still not work, then try the "Alternative ways, using Chromium"

Q: The hook won't copied to the DeepL browser, how to fix it?
A: Make sure DeepL Extension is active on the browser and Clipboard Extension on Textractor is exist.

Q: Error "{"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":1042912,"message":"Too many requests"}}"
A: Its not because of this tools or Textractor, but the DeepL site is detecting your ip as too many using its product, try using VPN or exit Textractor for sometime.

Q: pattern not exist
A: Well its a problem from Textractor when trying to hook the VN, you can ask for it on Textractor github

Q: Why the result in Textractor x64 is showing Japanese, not english?
A: Well its because Clipboard Inserter or TamperMonkey is not active, try check it again. If the problem still persist try to use the "Alternative ways, using chromium"

Q: Is the Alternative ways really fix it all?
A: I have tried it with Windows 11, Windows 7 Ultimate, And Windows 10 21h2, its works fine, also by using Old Chromium that i provide, you don't need to update it or adding its extension to your main browser, so use it Chromium just for playing VN (Because newer browser sometimes conflict with the extension for some users)

  1. My pc is 32bit so i can't run x64 textractor. And i got error (code=12175) while traslating. Is there anyway to fix it without update to 64bit?

    it automatically changed language from chinese back to japanese ，and repeat from japanes to chinese endlessly。

  15. Does not work on the Game - Dead End Aegis. When opening textractor x64 the text displayed is still in japanese, everything else seems to be working as it should.

  20. the chrome extensions always off after one translate. do you know how to fix this?

  24. When you add a scrit in tampermonkey or greasemonkey, there will be red error icon notice, just ignore it and dont change anything and apply

    Clipboardnya jangan lupa aktifin, kalo blom punya download di chrome store atau firefox, namanya "Clipboard inserter"

  43. Nvm I got it, but there is no Textractor.Exe on my Textractor. I download Textractor-Master, are they different?
  44. What is the difference between this method and the Sugoi Japanese Translator method on this site? Which method do you recommend? They both use textractor and deepl, so why would I choose one over the other? Thank you for awesome tutorials and (hopefully) answering my question, I really appreciate it!

    @Unkown the Sugoitranslator is good for the long run because it much more updated
    this version was more light and not take much resource, but you see sometime deepL change its api

  54. try redownload again, it seems you made some mistake. coz i just download it and all file is still intact

    • well, then something is your with your system, try update winrar and deactive your antivirus

  65. How do you handle games that give you this error?

    architecture mismatch: only Textractor x64 can inject this process

    Only like 10% games give me this issue.

    I try using the x64 instead of the x86 to inject, but it usually just does not work or is incredibly buggy/laggy.
    • try running the exe and textractor with run as admin

  69. Hey, I'm using waterfox. DeepL extension works fine when I enable it in my browser, but it disappears whenever I close the browser and reopen it. I have to set it up a new each time. Any solution? Thanks in advance.
  70. firefox and waterfox can only use tempory add-on, so every time you exit it it needs you to reopen it again, that's why i encourage you to use old chromium

  73. I have a game patched in Spanish.While doing all the steps it doesn't show the lines in deepl website.(using chromium)
    (it worked while the game was in Japanese but after patched up to Spanish no more)
    • this method works only for JP -> ENG, i recommend you to use VNTranslator for that one

  75. Extension no longer seems to work for firefox.
    Had no problems using your stuff in the past, but after updating firefox a couple times to the newest version nothing will copy into deepl.
  76. So it works for me on google chrome, but not with Firefox. And I heard that with Manifest V3 coming next year tampermonkey might no longer work, so I was wondering how to make Textractor with Deepl work on Firefox.
    I followed all the instructions and the applications show up, but nothing copy to deepl.

    Among the posts you posted, I tried using VNTranslator or DevTools, but in the case of DevTools, there were cases where the translated text and the original text were output, and in the case of VNTranslator, an error occurred on my computer and it did not run.

    However, the output language is fixed in English. Is there any way to change it to Korean?
